Euro Student ID Cards, Should YOU BUY ONE???

The ISIC (International Student Identification Card) is basically useless at saving money throughout your European backpacking trip. The most use you could get out of it is to change its appearance and use it to buy alcohol in the States! I bought the card on my first eurotrip, and I cannot remember one time that I used it for a discount. The same applies for the HI card. Unless you are absolutely positive that you’ll be staying at Hosteling International locations, do not waste your money buying their membership card. You can stay at their hostels regardless of owning a member card.
